Next, we will show you further special features of "EM Diatomite".
There are several causes for it and we describe major ones.
(1) In case of the movement of the undercoat
Undercoat may move due to wide space between the plasterboards or studs. It is better that the pitch is 10cm at the least. Also, few numbers of joints are better, so we recommend using 910mm x 2730mm plasterboard and put vertically, if possible. When you use 910mm x 1820mm plasterboard, you should insert undercoat materials horizontally without skipping the undercoat between each pitch, not to mention vertically.
(2) In case of the movement of a whole building by earthquake or vibration of road
Since PVC stretches little, it is hard to imagine that crack appears, even if the undercoat is moved slightly by earthquake, except for extraordinary occasions. However, in case of plaster walls (especially 100% natural materials), when a building is moved widely, it is unavoidable that some cracks are occurred. Thus, it is required to strengthen joints with a fiber tape to fix the undercoat as much as possible.
